History of SEIKO
Founded by Kintaro Hattori in the year 1881, SEIKO began as a humble Japanese brand called Vista that eventually expanded into a competitive eyewear business. In 1982, SEIKO became its official brand name and released the first indoor progressive lenses in the world soon after. Today, the world recognises SEIKO as an award-winning lens provider that constantly improves and reinvents eyewear.

- Thin, lightweight lenses – SEIKO lenses are 50% thinner and 45% lighter than other plastic lenses on the market. This means your glasses will feel lighter as well.
- Progressive lenses – At SEIKO, you can opt for progressive lenses that adjust to different focal lengths. It ensures a smooth transition, correcting vision at all distances.
- Safe, durable lenses – If you want lenses that won’t break at the slightest bend or fall, SEIKO is the brand for you. SEIKO glasses are lighter and more impact resistant than traditional glass lenses.
- Anti-reflection coating – Most SEIKO lenses are made with a scratch-resistant coating that eliminates reflections and eases cleaning. They are also water- and moisture-resistant.
